From Dust to Dirt
With minimal instrumentation on this track, Diana's raw, edgy voice is uncovered here. The lyrics are very heartfelt in that they say in the chorus, "From dust to dirt I get what I deserve. My road has been paved, and there's nothing left for me, to live for". Such great harmonies are covered throughout the track as well.
Before You Go
A song that starts heavy on the electronics and with the presence of the acoustic piano one can listen to a bit of influence from bands like Evanescence and One Republic, which is really good ! The broad vocals add much depth to the song. Studenberg sings of a past love who is all but gone in her thoughts. This track uses a great fusion of pop and rock.
Waiting to Fall
An upbeat song with a pop feel, Waiting to Fall features more of DioTribe as a band with an extensive composition in music. I especially enjoy the beginning with the acoustic guitar that goes into the downbeat with the band into the first verse. Here, Diana sings about giving all of herself, and just, Waiting to fall. Not a love song, but a song about love.
Big City Lights
If you don't hear a Maroon 5 influence from the start, you're truly under a rock ! Great song led my Diana at the microphone. This is a feel-good track about taking a chance and following your dreams that for some, could lead to those Big City Lights. One of my favorites from DioTribe.
Please Don't Fall In Love
Probably the heaviest, lyrically. Incredible vocals and music, this is a dark track that hits hard to ones soul. I love the extensive vocal range of Diana's voice on this song. The whispering part reminds me of the words being whispered into ones ear who cannot have her love. Another one of my favorite songs of DioTribe as it reminds me of Evanescence. This track is also featured as a remix by Craig McConnell which is also a great alternate version to the original.
I wanted to try something out I hadn't done before. When I downloaded the music of DioTribe, I went about my day and as I was driving around with company, I played Don't Fall In Love and to no surprise got asked for more information on this band. In my opinion, that's how you know you're on your way. It's music that hits on many different levels with various influences.
With DioTribe hard at work writing and composing, they are the essence of what music construction should be. To take the time to build a song note for note, and word for word they have proven to be listened to. So be sure to find them online and show them you dig their music too.
