The first things I thought of when I first heard this song was "Kill 'Em All" and Diamond Head. The intro reminds me a lot of Diamond Heads "Am I Evil?". The evil-sounding riff to chill your bones roaring throughout, along with a change in tempo right after to make the song that much more interesting. The main riffs are fast and intense with the picking pattern, and very thrilling! They just compel you to head-bob/bang Once the verse kicks in, you hear loads of "Kill 'Em All" in the song with short and loudly sung phrases, the continual "chunking" on the guitars, and thrashing drum parts. Thinking now, the guitars even sound like that did on that first chaotic record. I love the lyrics in the chorus that are yelled out "lords of summer shall retuuuurrn!!" Afterward, the bridge comes in and drops to half the tempo while maintaining a heavy riff to keep you hooked. Then Kirk throws in some neat melodies getting you ready for......you guessed it, the killer solo! This solo kicks so much ass! Once the song returns to the verse riffs, you think to yourself, "I can't believe these guys can still do what they do!" Their skill don't seem to diminish with age at all! Metallica still kicks some hard ass
This being only a demo, you can bet a pretty penny that the final cut will be absolutely amazing, as will be the rest of the album. Being huge "Tallica fanatics, we absolutely cannot wait for this record to be released. It will be worth the wait. Believe you me!
